Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our supply chain. This Position is for Nights Out not days only.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorry with Crane vehicle in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays
- Adhere strictly to legal driving hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with regulations
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, with delivery driver experience in a similar industry
- Must have full Allmi card and experience with Block and Beam deliveries
- Strong knowledge of flatbed operations and securing loads safely
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate large vehicles confidently and safely over long distances
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required
