We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who can contribute to the design, assessment and delivery of electrical engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, contractors and clients to ensure that systems meet technical requirements, regulatory standards and project objectives.
This role is suited to an engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable reviewing designs, preparing technical documentation and supporting projects from initial planning through installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review electrical designs, drawings, specifications and technical calculations.
- Support the design of power-distribution, lighting, control and energy-management systems.
- Conduct technical assessments and site inspections for new and existing installations.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable UK regulations, safety requirements and industry standards.
- Assist with equipment selection, load calculations, cable sizing and system-performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers, project managers, contractors and external consultants.
- Review contractor submissions, technical proposals and product specifications.
- Identify engineering risks and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Support electrical installation, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, operating documentation and maintenance recommendations.
- Respond to technical queries from clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately and within agreed schedules and budgets.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least three years of relevant electrical engineering experience within building services, energy, utilities, manufacturing or industrial projects.
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Technical Knowledge: A sound understanding of electrical distribution, protection systems, lighting, controls, equipment selection and electrical safety.
Design Skills: Experience preparing or reviewing electrical drawings, technical calculations and engineering specifications.
Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, electrical-design software and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Revit, Amtech, ETAP or similar tools would be advantageous.
Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of relevant British Standards, wiring regulations and health and safety requirements.
Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional Development: Membership of a relevant engineering institution or progress toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status would be beneficial.
Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
