Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support financial reporting activities by preparing reports for management and external auditors
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior team members on accounting best practices and software usage to foster team growth and development
Experience
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the financial services sector or related industries
- Proficiency in popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial management principles, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for mentoring colleagues and collaborating across departments
- Prior experience with financial reporting standards and internal controls is highly desirable

Pay: £57,420.00-£59,243.37 per year
