Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Assistant/Room Leader to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily activities within the nursery room, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning and development.
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing attentive care and encouragement.
- Working as part of the team effectively, delegating tasks and providing guidance to junior staff or assistants.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's development.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times, including risk assessments and hygiene protocols.
- Organise resources and materials needed for daily activities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and suitable for children’s use.
- Assist with organising outings or special events that enhance children's learning experiences.

Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Positive leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication skills
- Childcare qualification NVQ Level 3 in Childcare required for the role
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards children’s individual needs.
Hours of work
Monday - Friday (5 days) 1.30PM- 6.00PM Monday - Friday
