A Centre Manager at Just Tyres plays a key leadership role, combining operational management, customer service, and commercial responsibility to ensure the centre runs safely, efficiently, and profitably.
This role is for a floating Centre Manager to support the Divisional Manager with operations across the Hertfordshire Area while training until a permanent opportunity arises within the area.
Core Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the tyre centre, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal downtime
- Manage stock levels (tyres, consumables, tools) and place orders to meet demand
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and health & safety standards are strictly followed
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and manage technicians and front-of-house staff
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Create a positive, professional, and safety-focused working environment
3. Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver high standards of customer care, handling queries, complaints, and escalations effectively
- Ensure customers receive accurate advice on tyres, repairs, and related services
- Build repeat business and local reputation through trust and service quality
4. Sales & Commercial Performance
- Drive sales of tyres and associated services (e.g. alignment, puncture repairs)
- Monitor KPIs such as revenue, margin, conversion rates, and labour efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining service standards
5. Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards
- Manage cash handling, documentation, rotas, and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections
