Duties
- Provide comprehensive desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and peripheral devices.
- Manage computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and switches to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Administer user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and assist with account management in tools like BMC Remedy and ServiceNow.
- Support server environments such as Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Office applications to optimize productivity.
- Configure and maintain security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls to safeguard organizational data.
- Utilize management tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and Jira for software deployment, updates, and issue tracking.
- Assist with network analysis using TCP/IP protocols, analyze system logs for troubleshooting, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on help desk tickets via ServiceNow or other ticketing systems to deliver prompt technical support.
- Document procedures, create user guides, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in providing IT support within a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
- Hands-on experience supporting operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration for user account management.
- Experience troubleshooting software issues within Microsoft Office suite and other common business applications.
- Knowledge of hardware components including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Ability to analyze system logs and network traffic for diagnosing issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to assist users at all levels confidently.
- Experience working with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £25,420.00-£46,727.49 per year
