Experienced Housekeeper Required – Private Family Home
Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Hours: Circa 12 Hours per week (weekday mornings, split across 2–3 days)
We are seeking an experienced, trustworthy and proactive Housekeeper to join our household and help maintain our beautiful family home to an exceptional standard.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys creating a clean, organised and welcoming home environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a large four-bedroom family home, including a cinema room and home gym, to an immaculate standard.
- Cleaning and maintaining all bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing throughout the property.
- Deep cleaning on a rotational basis to ensure every area of the home is consistently maintained.
- Stripping, washing and changing all bed linen.
- Washing, folding and organising family laundry.
- Ironing clothing and household linen (ironing may be completed off-site if preferred).
- Cleaning internal windows, mirrors and glass surfaces.
- Organising cupboards, drawers, wardrobes and storage areas.
- Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, including refrigerators, cupboards and appliances.
- Monitoring household cleaning supplies and advising when replacements are required.
- Ensuring the home is always presented to an exceptionally high standard.
- Taking the initiative to identify and complete tasks without being asked.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working as a Housekeeper within a private residence, ideally supporting a high-net-worth family.
- Be honest, dependable and completely trustworthy.
- Be discreet and respectful of the family's privacy and confidentiality.
- Have exceptional attention to detail and high personal standards.
- Be hardworking, organised and efficient.
- Be warm, personable and professional.
- Be able to work independently and manage your workload without supervision.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (preferred due to the property's location).
- Be able to provide excellent references from previous housekeeping positions.
