Maths Teacher
A newly-opening Specialist Provision in Bolton (Sept '26) are seeking a Maths Teacher (ECTs welcomed) to lead a small group of students with complex SEMH, ASC and associated learning needs across KS3/4 Maths.
Led by a highly experienced, trauma-informed Headteacher dedicated to creating well-resourced SEMH environment for all children to thrive. Set rurally near a beautiful woodland lake, this school has excellent commuter links and easily accessible car park. SLT place focus upon ensuring high staff ratios to support students on individual, tailored levels, with max. class sizes of 5.
ECTs and mainstream teachers welcomed, interviews taking place throughout summer.
Job Description:
- Permanent, full-time Maths Teacher position
- Nurturing, brand-new SEMH School - part of a well-established Care and Education group
- Work with students aged 5-16 with a range of needs: ASC, SEMH, other complex learning and mental health needs
- Small classes of max. 4-5 students (high staff/student ratios)
- Trauma-informed practice, relational child-centred approach
- Beautifully decorated, newly-refurbished building and calm, nurturing surroundings
- Start date September 2026 (notice period dependent)
Person description:
- QTS/QTLS essential, with SEND experience and Maths subject specialism
- Child-centred approach to teaching - understands and implements trauma-informed practices
- Calm and patient demeanour, with strong classroom management skills
- Excellent behaviour management, adaptability to deal with unpredictable and unregulated behaviour
