Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this vital leadership role, you will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising food preparation and production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Your culinary expertise and team management skills will help deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
- Support the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring smooth operations during service.
- Supervise food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Manage food safety procedures, including proper storage, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Train new team members on culinary techniques, safety standards, and service expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace that promotes teamwork and adheres to hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and culinary techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Excellent food preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and teamwork.
