Job Summary:
The Site Engineer is responsible for aspects of the contract as part of the IERRT (Immingham Eastern Ro-Ro Terminal) team, with emphasis on control of the works and providing technical advice. The Site Engineer helps to create a safe and efficient working environment, maintains productivity and communicates with the Agent to ensure that the works adhere to the correct quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily co-ordination with the Supervisors
-
QA control – ITRs & ITPs (including sub-contractor co-ordination)
-
Technical queries
-
Raising NCRs and ensuring any remedial work is carried out promptly
-
Ensuring RAMS documents are in place and adhered to
-
Monitoring programmes to track progress & ensuring as built information is completed and submitted
-
Material Approvals
-
Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
-
Supervising contracted staff and sub-contractors
-
Ensuring works meet agreed specifications and timescales
-
Liaising with, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the site manager
-
Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
-
Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
-
Ensuring that health and safety, sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to

Issuing of work permits
-
Progress reports
-
Any other duties required by Line Manager
Technical Skills and Competencies:
-
Knowledge and experience in project management, manages small sized projects and elements of larger projects.

Knowledge of construction and understanding of programme, scheduling, procurement, and reporting.

Developing budgetary oversight expertise and knowledge.
-
Developing understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
-
Developing communication, presentation and project planning and development skills (using appropriate tools).
-
Partners and collaborates with others.
-
Champions best practice, safety management and safety initiatives.
Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:
-
Working towards MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or local equivalent
-
Developing experience in a project management (or equivalent) role
-
Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience / apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.

Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

Technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) rules and specific sector/ market regulations relevant to project portfolio.
