Select-Care (NW) Ltd is a dedicated and committed children's home provided. Offering therapeutic and child-centred care to children and young people. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Support Worker to join our Children's Residential team. In this vital role, you will provide consistent, nurturing support to children and young people in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Your proactive approach will help create a positive environment where children feel valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives through engaging care and support.
Duties
- Assist children with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities
- Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and encouragement
- Monitor and record children's progress, behavior, and emotional well-being accurately and consistently
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings safely and responsibly as part of their support plan
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care delivery
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety policies at all times
Skills
- Experience working with children or in childcare environments that demonstrate your ability to connect with young people
- Valid driving license and experience driving children or vulnerable individuals safely in various settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions for individual support needs
- Good IT skills for recording data accurately, updating records, and managing documentation efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
