We are recruiting for an HV Technician to join an exciting and growing organisation operating within the power, utilities, and energy sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to support the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of high-voltage electrical systems across a range of power and infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV electrical equipment.

Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on substations and associated assets.

Support commissioning engineers during testing and energisation activities.

Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on HV systems.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures and industry standards.

Maintain accurate maintenance and technical records.

Support planned outages and shutdown activities.

Work closely with engineers, project teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent).

Experience working on HV electrical systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, or power distribution networks.

Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and safe systems of work.

Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Full UK driving licence.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel to project and client sites when required.
- Previous experience in power generation, utilities, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, or industrial sectors.

Experience with protection systems and relay testing.

HV switching and operational experience.

ECS, CSCS, or National Grid competencies.
