Rowberry Morris is seeking a proactive and organised Legal Secretary to join our respected Private Client Department in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys client contact, thrives in a supportive team, and wants to build a long-term career in Private Client work. Full training will be provided on our systems, processes and practice areas.
What you will bring
- Office experience, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Experience in Private Client would be an advantage.
- Accurate audio typing.
- Ability to prioritise work, function efficiently under pressure and remain calm and professional.
- Ability to work to set deadlines and produce accurate work.
- Ability and desire to deliver exceptional Customer Service.
- Enthusiasm and a positive “can do” attitude.
- Ability to work alone and as part of team.
What you will be doing
- General administrative support for fee earners.
- Dealing with clients in person, by telephone and in writing.
- Management of appointments and accurately recording client calls.
- Assisting in the management of case files and archiving.
- Taking new client enquiries.
- Conflict, ID, and Anti Money Laundering checks.
- Opening new files.
- Monthly billing.
- Monitoring payments of department bills and disbursements.
- Liaising with team to manage enquiries and workflow to ensure comprehensive service to clients.
Helpful (but not essential)
- Familiarity with LEAP, Microsoft 365, Excel, Adobe Pro.
- Undertaking of Lexcel and ISO 9001 standards.

Pay: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
