We are a performing arts school, concentrating on singing, dancing and acting. We open our doors to all, and want to create a safe, encouraging community that students can learn a good sold base in technique while building confidence and having fun. With two annual shows a year, a winter concert and a summer musical.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Tutor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, excellent teaching skills, and a genuine love for working with students of all ages. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging dance classes, choreographing routines, and preparing students for performances and events. In the rehearsals for our summer musical you would be responsible for the choreography for the show across all age groups.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct dance classes in various styles
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of students
- Choreograph and prepare students for shows, events and performances
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their technique and confidence
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment
- Stay updated with current dance trends and techniques
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Comfortable chatting with the families and promoting the academy.
- Excellent time management, customer service skills and attention to detail.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Dance Tutor or similar role for at least 3 years.
- Proficiency in one or more dance styles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Professional dance training or a degree in dance
- PVG
- Ideal candidate would have a background in Musical Theatre.
