Experienced Tyre Fitter / Mechanic

Starting Salary: £28,000 per year- 40 hours per week
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Closed Sundays
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Tyre Fitter/Mechanic to join our busy, award-winning workshop.
Gorbals Tyre Centre is one of Glasgow’s highest-rated independent tyre centres, carrying out everything from everyday tyre fitting to roadside emergencies and specialist alloy wheel repairs. No two days are ever the same.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Tyre fitting
- Wheel balancing
- Puncture repairs
- Wheel alignment
- Mobile roadside emergency tyre fitting
- TPMS sensor replacement and programming
- Buckled alloy wheel repair
- General workshop duties
Mechanical experience is highly desirable as we also carry out light servicing and fast-fit work including brakes, batteries and suspension repairs.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous tyre fitting experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Good work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Pride in producing quality work and excellent customer service
Desirable:
- Mechanical experience
- Wheel alignment experience
- Mobile fitting experience
Don’t worry if you haven’t done everything listed above. Full training can be provided in areas such as wheel alignment, TPMS, roadside fitting and buckled wheel repairs for the right candidate.
