Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional self-Employed Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. The position requires a valid driver’s licence and previous experience in delivery or commercial driving.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries or vans, to complete multiple deliveries across the city and surrounding areas
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon completion of each drop
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations during loading, transit, and unloading processes
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Familiarity with GPS devices or route planning software is beneficial
