This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to make a real impact across both our successful NHS Community Surgical and Cataract Services and our exciting new private healthcare company, Welland Clinic Ltd.

About Us
The Deepings Practice is a progressive GP practice serving over 24,000 patients across Market Deeping and the surrounding area.
Alongside our NHS General Medical Services contract, we deliver specialist Community Surgical Services and NHS Cataract Services. We are also launching Welland Clinic Ltd, which will provide private surgical, diagnostic and specialist healthcare services.
This role offers the rare opportunity to help develop and grow both established NHS services and an exciting new private healthcare business.
About the Role
As our Surgical Operations and Development Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring our surgical services run efficiently while supporting the continued growth of both NHS and private services.
You will work closely with the Practice Manager, Clinical Lead GP and senior clinicians to:
- Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of our surgical services.
- Manage and support the CSS Administration Team.
- Coordinate theatre activity and patient pathways.
- Improve patient experience and service quality.
- Support marketing, communications and business development.
- Develop new services and operational processes.
- Monitor performance, activity and service growth.
- Help establish and expand Welland Clinic Ltd.
No two days will be the same. This is a varied role combining operational management, leadership, service improvement, business development and patient care coordination.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced operational or administrative leader.
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident managing multiple priorities.
- A natural problem solver.
- Comfortable using data to improve performance.
- An excellent communicator who enjoys working with clinicians, patients and external organisations.
- Enthusiastic about helping develop new healthcare services.
Experience within healthcare would be advantageous, particularly within primary care, community services, theatres or private healthcare, although applicants from other operational leadership backgrounds with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
