Main duties are to look after the service user either accessing the community or sitting in their homes whilst the carer gains a break from their caring role.
Main aims: To provide support to carers and people with care needs including emotional support
To provide personal care (sometimes)
To carry out domestic tasks
Ideally we like someone with experience of care, who will be prepared to deal with vulnerable adults (mainly elderly)
Have gained Health and Social Care NVQs level 2 or 3
Training will be provided if you haven't gained any experience in care. (paid training)
The role requires you to have a car and driving licence. (mileage paid)
We are looking for Support Workers in Chelmsford. or Braintree District
Part time work approx 15 hours per week (maybe building to 20 if needed)
