Simply tell us which days you are available, and we’ll contact you when suitable work becomes available. There is no requirement to commit to a fixed number of days each week, making this an ideal role if you:

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes when the usual teacher is absent
- Deliver lessons using work prepared by the school
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work provided
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and fairly
- Support students with their learning where appropriate
- Follow the school’s policies and procedures
- Provide feedback to teaching staff when required
You will not be expected to plan lessons or mark students’ work. Your responsibility is to manage the classroom and keep students focused while their regular teacher is unavailable.

Previous Cover Supervisor experience is not essential. What matters most is your confidence, enthusiasm and ability to build positive relationships while managing a classroom effectively.
Knowledge or experience in subjects such as English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PE, Modern Foreign Languages, Art or Design and Technology would be particularly valuable.
