Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring a smooth operation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Washing, drying, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen managers.
- Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a safe and tidy workspace.
- Restocking supplies and ensuring that all necessary items are readily available for service.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel environments is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a kitchen environment.
