You’re a Principal Structural Engineer who wants to lead with impact—across projects, clients, and teams. You’re already delivering at a high level, but you want a broader platform to influence how projects are shaped and how teams grow. At Stantec, you’ll join a highly regarded Civil & Structural team in London, taking a senior leadership role in delivering complex building projects while contributing to the continued growth of the business. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with specialists across the wider organisation and helping to drive integrated, high-quality solutions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction, setting the technical direction and ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs across the team. You’ll coordinate closely with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet client expectations and align with wider project objectives.
You’ll take ownership of project performance, overseeing programme, resources, and commercial delivery to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Internally, you’ll provide technical leadership and guidance, supporting engineers and maintaining strong quality assurance across all stages of delivery.
You will also play a key role in client engagement and business development—managing relationships, contributing to bids and proposals, and helping to secure future work. This is a position where technical leadership and business involvement are closely linked, giving you the opportunity to influence both project outcomes and long-term growth.
YOUR IMPACT
You’ll shape projects that support the delivery of resilient and sustainable buildings across the UK. Your work will influence how structures respond to environmental challenges, regulatory pressures, and long-term performance requirements, helping clients deliver projects that are robust and future-ready.
Beyond project delivery, your impact will extend to team development and business growth. You’ll mentor engineers, strengthen team capability, and contribute to building a high-performing, collaborative environment. Through your work with clients and involvement in work-winning, you’ll play a key role in expanding the team’s presence and capability in the market.
