We are seeking a forward-thinking, clinical Pharmacist to join our progressive healthcare team . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving clinical services (such as Pharmacy First, NMS, and vaccinations), providing exceptional patient-focused care, and offering expert medication management advice. This role requires strong leadership qualities, clinical commercial acumen, and comfort with advanced pharmacy IT and automation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive Service-Led Excellence: Lead and expand clinical services (e.g., Pharmacy First, New Medicine Service, vaccination clinics, and health checks) to maximize patient outcomes and business growth.
- Oversee Automated Dispensing: Supervise and optimize the use of automated dispensing technology, ensuring high accuracy, efficiency, and clinical safety while minimizing manual labor.
- Clinical Consultations: Offer expert advice to patients regarding medication management, potential side effects, lifestyle interventions, and drug interactions.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and empower pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Collaborative Healthcare: Work closely with local GPs, PCNs, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and seamless care transitions.
- Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of clinical interventions and automated processes, ensuring absolute compliance with GPhC standards, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Inventory & Operational Oversight: Manage pharmacy clinical governance, data reporting, and stock control optimization alongside advanced IT systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Registration: Fully qualified Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Service-Driven Mindset: Proven experience or a strong desire to lead clinical services and move away from traditional, desk-bound dispensing.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in modern pharmacy management software and comfort adapting to automated dispensing workflows.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively, alongside exceptional communication skills to build trust with patients and local healthcare networks.
- Clinical Expertise: Robust knowledge of current NHS pharmaceutical practices, frameworks, and clinical service delivery.
