Overview
We are a small, well-established roofing firm looking to add the right person to our close-knit team. We’re currently seeking either:
- A reliable labourer with roofing experience, and
- A highly skilled, experienced roofer who understands all aspects of the trade and takes real pride in their work.
Everyone here gets on well, works hard, and looks out for each other, so finding someone who fits in with the team is just as important as skills on the tools.
The Role
You will be working on a variety of roofing projects, from general repairs to more complex works. Depending on experience, the role can range from hands-on labouring through to leading jobs and running a small gang.
Most work is carried out from scaffolding and always with a strong focus on safety, quality, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out roofing works to a consistently high standard
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
- Identifying and correctly rectifying issues relating to condensation, damp, and mould, including addressing root causes, not just symptoms
- Handling materials safely and efficiently on site
- Maintaining a tidy, organised work area
- Working independently or as part of a team
- For the right candidate, supervising and running a gang of roofers
What We’re Looking For
- Proven roofing experience (essential)
- Strong understanding of all aspects of roofing, including ventilation, condensation control, damp, and mould prevention
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- A professional attitude – we take pride in our work and expect the same from everyone on the team
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weather
- Self-motivated and reliable, able to work without constant supervision
- Ideally capable of leading jobs and managing other roofers
Driving & Transport
Full UK driving licence - Required
Own transport - Preferred
