Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our visitors at Lichfield Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising pool activities, providing excellent guest services, and assisting with various leisure programmes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant environment focused on community wellbeing and recreation. The ideal applicant will possess strong management skills, a friendly demeanour, and a passion for hospitality and guest engagement.
Duties
- Monitor pool areas continuously to ensure the safety of all swimmers and visitors.
- Enforce safety rules and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents.
- Provide exceptional guest services by assisting visitors with enquiries, bookings, and general information.
- Organise and oversee leisure activities, classes, and programmes to promote active participation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of poolside areas, changing rooms, and communal spaces.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of leisure events or special programmes.
- Support management in implementing health and safety policies across the centre.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that encourages community engagement.
Requirements
- Valid NPLQ Qualification
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures related to aquatic environments and leisure facilities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and your role in Safeguarding customers
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £25,947.00 per year
