Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and caring Support Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to children and adults, promoting their safety, development, and daily living skills. Your enthusiasm and mentoring skills will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued and empowered.
Duties
- Support clients with daily activities, including personal care, household tasks, and social engagement
- Foster independence through teaching essential life skills and routines
- Act as a positive role model by mentoring clients and encouraging their growth
- Assist with planning and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and professionals
- Maintain clear records of support provided, progress, and any incidents or concerns
- Promote a safe, respectful environment that encourages clients’ confidence and well-being
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable, however all training is provided
- Strong mentoring skills with a compassionate approach to support and guidance
- Knowledge of teaching techniques suitable for diverse needs and abilities
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and families
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, resilience, and enthusiasm for helping others
