Semi-Senior Accountant (ACCA Trainee)
Independent Accountancy Practice
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire Salary: up to £35k
We're delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent accountancy firm with a team of 50+ professionals. Our client is looking for an ambitious ACCA part-qualified accountant to join them at semi-senior level.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who's built a solid grounding in UK practice and is ready to take ownership of a varied portfolio while continuing their studies towards full qualification.
The Role:
You'll be taking on a mixed portfolio of accounts and tax work, including:
- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies,
- Corporation tax and personal tax returns
- VAT returns
- Day-to-day client liaison.
Working closely with managers and partners, you'll gain exposure to a broad client base across a range of sectors while continuing to progress your accountancy career with fully-funded ACCA training and internal progression to more senior roles as you settle in with the business.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- 2 to 3 years of experience working within UK accountancy practice and be actively studying towards your ACCA qualification.
- Proven ability to produce statutory company accounts - ideally with a good level of exposure to personal tax, corporation tax and VAT returns production.
- Confidence with accounting software is expected
- Confident in client-facing roles, with strong communication skills - a must given the level of client interaction involved.
