JFM Workplace Limited is looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team at Holy Saviour School.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, visitors and contractors. No two days are the same, and you'll be involved in everything from carrying out minor repairs and site checks to supporting school events and ensuring the premises remain well-presented.

What You'll Be Doing
Site Security & Access
- Opening and securing school buildings and grounds.
- Acting as a designated key holder.
- Responding to alarm activations and security incidents when required.
- Supporting the operation of fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control systems and CCTV.
- Providing emergency access to the site when necessary.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Carrying out routine site inspections.
- Completing minor repairs and maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, painting, decorating and furniture repairs.
- Replacing light bulbs and carrying out basic building maintenance.
- Reporting larger maintenance issues and liaising with contractors.
- Helping to maintain external areas to a safe and presentable standard.
Health & Safety
- Supporting a safe working environment for staff, pupils and visitors.
- Completing routine safety checks and reporting hazards.
- Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation.
- Following all company and site health and safety procedures.
Cleaning & Site Standards
- Supporting cleaning operations when required.
- Ensuring equipment and storage areas remain clean and organised.
- Monitoring standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
Site Support
- Moving furniture, equipment and supplies around the school.
- Preparing rooms for meetings, events and school activities.
- Receiving deliveries and distributing goods to the appropriate areas.

✔ Experience working within a school or educational environment
✔ Knowledge of building maintenance systems
✔ Health & Safety qualifications or relevant training
✔ Experience working with alarm systems, access control systems or CCTV
