Savio House Retreat Centre is looking for an experienced Cook to join our small team providing nutritional home cooked meals for our residents and guests.
Savio House is a Catholic Youth Retreat Centre situated in a beautiful setting right in the centre of Kerridge Ridge & Ingersley Vale in Cheshire. We offer residential and day retreats to groups and individuals of all ages.
We are a small friendly team and are looking for an experienced cook to deliver high quality home cooked food using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible for all our resident community (c. 12 people), and (occasionally groups of up to 40 people) whatever their age and nationality.
You will be responsible for delivering a varied menu, taking into account special dietary requirements and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. In conjunction with the Head Cook you will have responsibility for stock rotation, cleanliness and food safety standards.
You must hold a valid Level 2 in Food Safety as a minimum, be able to work alone and on your own initiative and be trustworthy. You will be well presented, have a friendly nature and be willing to work flexibly.
Working hours: 16–20 hours per week, typically worked over 2–3 days (including weekends), between 10:00am and 6:30pm. There are opportunities for additional hours and overtime.
