An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Housekeeper on the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) Triage at the John Radcliffe Hospital!
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent organisational skills to join our team. The main focus of this role is to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for patients and families by ensuring the unit is kept clean, tidy and well stocked. The role also involves supporting the nursing team with the delivery of patient food and beverages.
The successful applicant will be proactive and able to work with the public in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful applicant will also work well with our well-established housekeeping team across the SEU wards, to ensure the efficient working across all departments.

The main duties of House keeper is to work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a high quality service and environment to patients and liaise with, nursing team, patients and families.
Keeping unit clean and tidy, assisting with order food and beverages for patients, ensuring stock is adequately ordered and tidied away, working as part of a housekeeper team across the SEU wards, regular audits, supporting nursing team, reporting and maintenance of area including equipment.

The main responsibilities of Housekeepers are:
To work as an integral part of the SEU triage team ensuring a high quality service to patients and to provide a service that ensures that the patients’ needs are satisfied and unit requirements are met.
To assist the SEU triage Sister to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services in order to properly maintain the patient environment.
To supervise an effective waste segregation and disposal service ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and legislation.
To work effectively as part of the ward/department team
To ensure patients have appropriate food and drink provided.
To contribute to monthly cleaning audits and assist with any learning for the team.
