Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician to carry out electrical installations, alterations, testing, and fault finding on residential and commercial refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a refurbishment team, delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete first-fix and second-fix electrical installations.
- Carry out rewires, consumer unit replacements, and circuit alterations.
- Install lighting, sockets, switches, fire alarms, extract fans, and other electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
- Test and inspect completed installations where qualified.
- Ensure all work complies with the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with site managers and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Complete relevant documentation and report progress to management.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2365/2330 or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- ECS or CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience in domestic and commercial refurbishment projects.
- Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of current health and safety requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
- Inspection and Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
- Experience with EV charger installations.
- Experience with fire alarm, emergency lighting, or data installations.
