We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader with a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues and creating an outstanding environment where children can flourish every day.
What you'll be doing
As a Room Leader, you'll lead your room with confidence, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and wellbeing for every child while supporting and developing your team.
You'll:
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room, creating a warm, safe and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS, tailored to each child's individual interests and stage of development.
- Inspire, motivate and support your team, promoting high standards of practice and acting as a positive role model.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring observations, assessments and planning are accurate and meaningful.
- Build strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involved in their child's learning journey.
- Promote children's emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence through nurturing, child-centred practice.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirements are consistently met and embedded within the room.
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider team to continuously improve practice and maintain outstanding standards throughout the nursery.
- Support the induction, coaching and development of team members, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A DfE-approved Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Experience leading a room or supporting others within an Early Years environment.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic and caring approach.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional Early Years education and supporting others to succeed.
