Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawings and schematics for various construction and civil engineering projects. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, Production designer and other programming tools
- Prepare accurate schematics and technical drawings aligned with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret project requirements and translate them into precise CAD designs.
- Review and modify existing drawings to incorporate design changes or improvements.
- Assist in creating visualisations and simulations to support project planning and presentation.
- Ensure all CAD outputs adhere to organisational quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Maintain organised digital files of all drawings, models, and schematics for easy retrieval and version control.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD design within the sheet metal manufacturing or engineering sectors is essential.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of schematics development and technical drafting principles.
- Manufacturing experience or familiarity with metal fabrication projects will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex technical information accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
