Home Support Co-Ordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Radnor Home Support. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to the post of Home Support Worker.
Based in Presteigne but covering Presteigne, Knighton and the surrounding villages; Home Support offers low level practical support to the over 50’s. We are not a care agency however a background in care or working within a care environment or a background in admin with an empathy for more vulnerable adults would be beneficial.
We also offer a 24hr rapid response to emergency calls via Care Line, through an on-call rota.
You will be working alongside a small team of staff and duties will include completing forms, answering the telephone, offering advice and support to people who require assistance.
Basic computer skills are essential but full training will be given.
Hours of work are 26 per week Monday to Friday - times and days to be agreed with the successful candidate. As part of the job you will be required to provide out of hours on call support - payment for this in in addition to your hourly rate.
A full driving licence is essential, access to Home Support vehicle is available during working hours.
Starting salary of £13.62 per hour plus £30 per on call shift.
Post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
You will be supported by the Senior, but this is an exciting time to join the charity as we are looking to expand and enhance the service.
