Experienced General Builder – Self-Employed
Location: Newton Abbot and surrounding areas
Rate: £275 per day

South Devon Construction Group is looking for an experienced, reliable and versatile general builder to work across a range of modern and heritage construction projects.
The role will involve varied building work across renovations, extensions, property improvements and traditionally constructed buildings. We are looking for someone who can work confidently both independently and as part of a wider team, takes pride in their workmanship and maintains a professional standard on every project.
Essential requirements
- Previous professional experience as a general builder
- Strong practical knowledge of building and renovation work
- Ability to complete a varied range of construction tasks
- Own van and full UK driving licence
- Own professional tools and equipment
- Reliable, organised and able to communicate clearly
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work on a self-employed basis
- Willingness to travel to projects around Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas
Experience working on heritage, listed or traditionally constructed buildings would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of traditional and breathable building materials would also be beneficial.
Pay: Up to £275.00 per day
