Duties
- Safely operate a refrigerated van to deliver perishable goods across designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload items with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring products are handled properly to maintain quality
- Verify delivery orders, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation accurately for each stop
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times, address details, and special instructions
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the refrigerated van remains in optimal condition
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory checks or stock movement when not on deliveries
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with refrigerated or temperature-controlled vehicles
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record and commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of loading or unloading deliveries
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and safety procedures related to commercial driving
