We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a school. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used efficiently
- Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards discovered during cleaning duties to the supervisor
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times during cleaning activities
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in all cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to manage time effectively across multiple sites or areas
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards at all times
