As a Counter-Balance FLT Operator in the Pre-cooling department at Wyke Farms, you will be working as part of our cheese maturation and stores team, you will be transferring cheese from the maturing stores to pre-cooling to be de-boxed and ready to be processed through our cutting lines. You will also unload cheese from our internal stores and place into the onsite stores at our Wincanton site.
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working individual, who works well with others, to come and join our team.
The preferred candidate will ideally have previous manufacturing and/or production experience and be flexible with their work availability.
You will be required to work a 3-shift rotation (earlies, lates and nights) between Monday – Friday (early finish on Fridays).
In addition to your basic pay, you will also be eligible to receive a weekly shift bonus (£20/week), night shift bonus (£75/week) and forklift operator bonus (£25/week) for each complete shift worked, as well as the potential of a scanning performance bonus (£30/week).
Duties and Requirements:
- Approx. 80% of time on forklift duties, the rest of the time helping with other jobs in the department
- Valid counterbalance licence and experience required
- Loading and unloading of road tankers
- Full UK driving licence required
