Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated MOT Assistant to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will support the MOT Tester by bringing vehicles on and off the testing lane, assisting with inspections, and ensuring safety standards are met efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist the Mot Tester by bringing vehicles for MOT testing into the Testing Bay safely and manoeuvering vehicles on and off Mot Test Lane
- Support the Mot Tester by operating simple instructions whilst inside the vehicle
- Carrying out brake testing in the mechanical brake rollers - instructed by the Mot Tester
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during tests
- Making sure Mot Car Parking Area is kept clear and accessible
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Good attention to detail to accurately assist with vehicle inspections and preparations
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to vehicle testing procedures
- Prior experience in automotive or workshop settings is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
