Job Summary
We are seeking a Qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who is dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager or someone that is willing Level 3 qualified and would like to become a Deputy Manager supporting the daily operations of our childcare nursery. The successful candidate will assist in managing staff, ensuring high-quality childcare, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for early childhood education and leadership to contribute to the development of young children while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily centre operations and staff management
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of childcare
- Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and team members regarding children's progress and centre updates
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures
- Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children
- Assist in managing administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance, and planning schedules
- Support the organisation of staff rotas and cover shifts as required
- Drive centre initiatives that promote inclusive practices and continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong working knowledge of childcare regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with children, understanding their developmental needs
- Childcare qualifications or nursery experience recognised within early childhood education frameworks
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Good interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team member.

Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
