Duties
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications with precision, following all safety protocols and legal requirements
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and appropriateness before dispensing
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, providing clear instructions on usage and potential side effects
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, inventory levels, and patient interactions
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management
- Ensure the pharmacy workspace remains organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations
- Dispensing of blister packs and managing their repeat prescriptions.
Skills
- Experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology
- Experience working with TITAN PMR preferred but training can be provided.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Attention to detail to prevent errors in dispensing and record-keeping
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols and legal guidelines related to pharmaceuticals
- Good organizational skills to manage inventory and documentation efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
Further training to upskill can be provided following a succesfull probationary period.
Pay: £25,420.00-£38,211.79 per year
