Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Timber Frame Erector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and erecting timber frames on various building projects, ensuring precision and safety throughout the process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a range of carpentry and construction skills in a dynamic environment.
Candidates should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with timber structures. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to quality craftsmanship and safety standards.
Duties
- Erect and assemble timber frames according to detailed plans and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment to cut, shape, and fit timber components
- Fabricate structural elements on-site as required, ensuring accuracy and stability
- Assist with the installation of roofing,
- Perform heavy lifting to manoeuvre timber sections safely into position
- Collaborate with other trades such as, electricians, and plumbers to coordinate project tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Conduct quality checks throughout the erection process to ensure structural integrity
Experience
- Proven experience in timber frame fabrication and assembly within a construction environment
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques specific to timber work
- Knowledge of roofing wood work
- Experience working with heavy lifting equipment and performing physically demanding tasks safely
- Background in general construction or related trades such as timber workman or all trade work
Pay: £12.75 per hour
