School Cleaner – Help Keep Our Learning Spaces Spotless!
Location: Alnwick Duchess School, NE66 2DH
Hours: Monday to Friday, between 3 pm and 6 pm (term time only) – flexibility on hours available
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate start available
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent (15, 20, 25, 30 hours or full-time options)
Enhanced DBS and trial required for this role
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our facilities team. This is a key role in keeping our school safe, clean, and welcoming for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitise surfaces
- Replenish hygiene supplies and empty bins
- Carry out deep cleans during school holidays
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (especially in schools or similar environments)
- Enhanced up-to-date DBS check required (Vulnerable Adult check if applicable)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Trustworthy, proactive, and committed to high standards
