About us
We are an award winning family owned bakery. Our bakehouse is in Saltcoats along with 2 of our shops and our café. We also have a shop in West Kilbride and 1 in Kilwinning.
We are looking for a counter assistant to join our busy team in our shop in West Kilbride.
NORMAL WORKING HOURS - 22 and a quarter hours per week worked over 3 days
MON 8.00am-2.00pm
WED 8.00am-4.15pm (alternate with a Sat)
FRI 7.30am-4.15pm
SAT 7.30am-4.15pm(alternate with a Wed)
You'll be required to work Wed and Sat when your back to back is on holiday along with a reasonable amount of overtime to cover holidays and busy trading periods. We pay weekly on a Friday and work to a 4 week rota.
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and cash handling
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and making change
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team
