Warehouse Operative
Cloud9 Fulfilment is a leading fulfilment and parcel delivery company based in Sheffield. We are seeking dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring client orders are handled accurately and dispatched on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and offload containers and vehicles, following correct manual handling and equipment procedures.
- Receive incoming goods, check them against paperwork, and report any shortages or damage.
- Accurately put stock away in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick customer orders precisely using our warehouse system.
- Securely pack parcels and prepare shipments for dispatch.
- Sort parcels and stage them correctly for courier collection.
- Process returns efficiently according to client and company procedures.
- Conduct stock checks and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working area.
- Utilise warehouse systems, scanners, and handheld devices correctly.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including mandatory training and PPE usage.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and warehouse processes accurately.
- Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, and stock control.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic numeracy and computer literacy for using handheld scanning devices.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
- Capable of working at a steady, accurate pace while maintaining safety standards.
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks in a busy warehouse environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfilment, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse systems, scanners, or handheld devices.
- A valid forklift truck (FLT) licence is a bonus, with training provided if needed.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.75.
- A 0-hours contract offering a potential minimum of 24 hours per week, with an expectation of full-time hours.
- Consistent shifts scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00, typically 8 hours per day.
