Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Apprentice to join our team and gain valuable experience within the healthcare sector. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in nursing or healthcare. The role provides hands-on training and exposure to various aspects of patient care, supporting our experienced healthcare professionals. Duties
- Assist registered healthcare professionals with daily patient care activities
- Support the development and implementation of care plans under supervision
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure quality care
- Help organise appointments, schedules, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Observe and learn clinical procedures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards
- Provide compassionate support to patients, respecting their dignity and privacy
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in nursing or healthcare careers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic IT literacy with proficiency in using computers and software applications
- Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Prior experience in healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
