Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Erector to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing steel structures that form the backbone of commercial, industrial, and agricultural projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, stability, and durability of large-scale steel frameworks. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately assemble steel components
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, weld, bolt, and secure steel beams and structures
- Erect steel frameworks by positioning, aligning, and bolting or welding components into place
- Collaborate with crane operators and other team members to lift and position heavy steel elements safely
- Conduct inspections during assembly to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety standards
- Assist with fabrication tasks as needed, including cutting and shaping steel pieces for precise fitting
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials, ensuring safety compliance at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in steel erection or related construction fields such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, or welding
- Strong knowledge of construction and concreting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication technique
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with clear communication abilitie

Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
