About Us
Abraham Recovery is a growing HGV recovery, heavy haulage and lifting company operating across the UK. We are looking for an experienced Recovery Controller / Apex Operator to join our team and help manage daily recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming recovery calls and customer enquiries
- Operating Apex and other recovery management systems
- Dispatching recovery vehicles and monitoring progress
- Liaising with breakdown clubs, insurance companies and commercial customers
- Updating customers with ETAs and job progress
- Creating and managing job records accurately
- Coordinating drivers and subcontractors when required
- Handling invoicing information and job documentation
- Supporting day-to-day transport and recovery operations
Requirements
- Previous experience within HGV recovery, roadside assistance or transport operations
- Experience using Apex (preferred)
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good computer skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles is highly desirable

Experience
- Apex: 1 year (preferred)
- Recovery industry: 1 year (preferred)
- Transport planning / logistics: 1 year (preferred)
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
