Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Joiner to join our expanding technical services team.
Job Purpose
The Joiner will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of joinery, maintenance, repair and refurbishment works across client sites. The role involves both planned and reactive works, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will represent the company professionally while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out first and second fix joinery works.
- Install, repair and maintain doors, frames, ironmongery and locks.
- Undertake fire door inspections, repairs and installations.
- Carry out partitioning, ceiling and wall repairs.
- Install flooring, skirting, architraves and other finishing works.
- Complete kitchen, washroom and office refurbishment works.
- Perform reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Carry out general building fabric maintenance as required.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Complete jobs in accordance with company quality standards.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation.
- Complete job sheets, reports and photographs using company systems.
- Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify additional works opportunities and report them to management.
- Assist other trades and project teams when required.
- Participate in the company on-call rota if required.
Essential Requirements
- SVQ Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Proven experience in commercial maintenance and refurbishment environments.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in completing electronic job reports and paperwork.
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Fire Door Inspection Qualification.
- FIRAS or equivalent fire door experience.
- PASMA Certification.
- IPAF Certification.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Manual Handling.
- Working at Height Training.
- First Aid at Work.
- Facilities Management or Multi-Trade Maintenance experience.
- Experience working within live commercial environments.
