Role: Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulics & Production Assembly
Salary: £17.73 - £26.60 PH DOE ( OT at x 1.5 )
Hours: Monday to Thursday – Day Shift ( 37 hours a week )
Location: Coventry
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulics & Production Assembly to join our client’s busy production facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer with strong long-term career prospects. To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in mechanical fitting and production-line assembly, with good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulics & Production Assembly Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications
- Carry out hydraulic and pneumatic fitting on production-line equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Work to takt time in a single-line production environment
- Maintain high standards of quality and ensure all work meets safety regulations
- Use Production Management Systems (PMS) and computer systems to record work
- Support team members and move between departments when required
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and follow health & safety procedures
Mechanical Fitter – Hydraulics & Production Assembly Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Technician, or similar role
- Proven experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
- Computer literate and comfortable using production systems
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and carry out occasional heavy lifting
- Relevant mechanical or hydraulic qualifications are advantageous
