Job Overview:
We are looking to hire an experienced Post Office and Retail Customer Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible to improve the Post office and Retail business sales to achieve targets and accept challenging business objectives..
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the team to achieve both individual and branch targets including sales, shrink, waste, cash loss and staff costs.
- Support the Director with employee lifecycle from recruitment to appraisals, training and disciplinary procedures.
- Balance the daily accounts, stock units, and the main safe in line with Post Office Ltd and corporate guidelines.
- Ensure branch operations comply with relevant financial and legislative standards
- Good leadership skills to inspire respect from their team members and motivate them to perform well
- Monitor shop floor stock levels, manage deliveries, and execute visual merchandising.
- Handle end-of-day till reconciliation, cash drops, and banking operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and enforce policies for age-restricted products
- Create a customer service led culture which is always striving to improve performance.
- To ensure all staff deliver a professional, friendly service to all customers.
- To ensure the branch is fully compliant with all current legislation and POL compliance and training requirements.
- Play an active role with the team Maximise opportunities to drive sales and increase footfall Increase the online presence Cash Handling and Balancing on the Post Office horizon.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively deal with challenging situations when they arise
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of proven Post Office and convenience retail experience.
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and Post Office software (e.g., the Horizon system).
- Exceptional numerical accuracy, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently.
- Availability to work varying shift patterns, which often include early mornings, late nights, and weekends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
